Accident Injuries

Every accident is different. Symptoms may present immediately or may take days, weeks, or even months. Whatever the case, whenever an accident occurs, we can help. We believe that if your body injuries are not treated properly, these can lead to long-term issues and complications. Left untreated injuries would force your body to heal itself in a less-than-ideal way, leading to chronically weakened and scar tissue. We are committed to addressing injuries quickly to prevent long-term biomechanical issues.
At Essential Care Chiropractic,
we provide comprehensive chiropractic care for those suffering from injuries caused by car accidents, slip and falls, work-related injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. We understand that pain can be debilitating, so we strive to help you return to your normal activities as quickly and safely as possible.

What to do if you've
been in a car accident
When it comes to auto accidents, it’s important to remember that Florida is a no-fault state, which means that you are entitled to medical benefits regardless of who is at fault. Now, you only have 14 days after the accident to seek medical attention to be eligible for Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance benefits, which provide coverage for medical expenses and lost wages up to $10,000. If you are injured and do not seek medical attention within that 14-day period, those insurance benefits will no longer be available to you to help pay for the cost of treating your injuries.
It's also important to notify your insurance company as soon as possible after the accident to report it and provide necessary information. This can help document the accident. Receiving immediate medical attention will also establish a record of treatment, which is important for insurance and legal purposes.
If you’ve been in a outo accident in the state of Florida, there are several important steps you should take:
1
Check for injuries
First and foremost, make sure everyone involved in the accident is okay. If anyone is severely injured, call 911 immediately. Remember, some injuries emerge a day or more after an accident when the adrenaline wears off and your body reacts to sprains, strains, tears, small fractures, and/or others injuries that were not immediately apparent.
2
Move to a safe location
If possible, move your vehicle to the side of the road or another safe location. This can help prevent further accidents and injuries.
4
Document the scene
Take photos of the accident scene, including any damage to your vehicle and any injuries you or your passengers may have sustained.
6
Notify your insurance company
Contact your insurance company as soon as possible to report the accident and provide any necessary information.
3
Exchange information
Get the contact and insurance information of the other driver(s) involved in the accident. You should also provide your information to them.
5
File a police report
Contact the police and file a report. This is important for insurance purposes and may be required by law.
7
Seek medical attention
Even if your injuries initially seem minor, it’s important to seek medical attention after a car accident. Some injuries may not be immediately.
